In June there's a lovely image of Helmingham Hall Gardens, Suffolk. Helmingham Hall is an attractive Tudor mansion built in 1510 for the Tollemache family. Its magnificent gardens include a walled kitchen garden, splendid herbaceous and spring borders and a knot garden with knot patterns planted in box. There is also a large collection of rare roses and a deer park. Another photo features Scarborough Castle and South Bay, North Yorkshire. This majestic medieval castle was built in the 12th century as a stronghold for Henry II in a naturally defensive site, commanding spectacular views out to sea, on a rocky promontory at the edge of vertical cliffs. The ruins of the castle keep, curtain wall and round towers still dominate the busy historic seaside town with its glorious beaches and harbour.
