In this corporate calendar for 2026 there’s an image of Reine, Nordland, Norway on February’s page which portrays a Northern Lights display over this scenic fishing village with its striking backdrop of Reinefjord and steep mountains rising from the sea. It lies above the Arctic Circle in the Lofoten Archipelago and consists of small islands, dotted with red fishermen’s houses, all linked by bridges. In a spectacular volcanic landscape, entirely sculpted by erosion, the Göreme area is known for its breathtaking rock formations. The landscape consists of high plateaus, lunar-like boulders and rocky pillars called ‘fairy chimneys’. It is the location for human dwellings, troglodyte villages and underground towns, dating from the 4th century, with underground churches richly decorated with Byzantine art.
