May’s image shows Eilean Mòr, and Eigg from Druim Nan Carn, Isle of Coll. Lying off the north coast of the Isle of Coll is a small group of islands that include Eilean Mòr, Eag na Maoile and Sùil Ghorm, on which the Cairns of Coll Lighthouse is located. Beyond lie the Small Isles, an archipelago of individual, contrasting islands, each with its own recognisable profile when viewed from afar, and each possessing its own distinct landscape, history and culture.
