British Birds Calendar Overview

In another photo we see a kestrel, Britain’s most common falcon, with light-brown plumage with dark spots. It is often spotted circling gracefully in search of unsuspecting prey with its long, pointed wings lowered. It hovers, then strikes from above. The falcon has adapted to both rural and urban habitats, nesting in rock crevices, hollow trees, church towers and high buildings.
