Donation to St Helena Hospice from Festive Fundraising
Staff at Rose Calendars were joined by St Helena Hospice’s Corporate Fundraiser Ruth Jennings last week, to hand over a cheque from monies raised over the festive period.
Office and factory employees were delighted to present the hospice with a donation of £250 which came from events held in the run up to Christmas. A festive jumper day held at the beginning of December netted a generous £75, with the annual charity raffle raising a further £175.
At the busiest time of year for the calendar manufacturing, December is when staff give their all to their work, often working long shifts to ensure customer orders are fulfilled in time for receipt of corporate calendars for businesses to send out ahead of Christmas. So to take time out of their schedule makes the donations even more heart-felt. By choosing to make the presentation at this time of year, the most number of staff can be part of the presentation process too.
Rose Calendars continue to be Corporate Sponsors of St Helena Hospice throughout this year, with events and fundraising continuing for 2025. This year sees 40 years of care from the hospice, and sponsorship and events like these enable them to continue their vital work.
